Welcome to the Gadgetworks website. Here in the online world you will find tidbits related to open source projects that we use and support. We love open source. The hybrid open-closed software business is the way of the future.

We exist in the offline world at a small, nondescript workshop near Berkeley, CA.

Gadgetworks was founded in 2000 by Jeff Williams as a venue to investigate disruptive wireless technologies for manufacturing and logistics. He was later join by partners Adit Abhyankar and Ravi Bhaskaran who later founded Fog City Capital Partners in San Francisco, CA. Today Adit and Ravi participate in a business advisory capacity.

Gadgetworks continues to incubate new technologies with a small cadre of engineers and designers who share a passion for wireless and low-power technologies. Through the open source community we have a parallel universe of development partners scattered throughout the world.

Gadgetworks does not sell or market end products. We instead partner with other companies, or spin ideas into new startups to pursue commercialization of our technology developments.
